Get the configuration for each job. A straight delivery truck and a passenger bus can have different endorsement and test-vehicle requirements. Compare the credentials before you choose ELDT theory or an appointment.

Find the right DPS location before booking equipment

DPS lists Kilgore and Canton for East Texas. Compare the center on your notice with your permit class and vehicle reservation before leaving Tyler for either practice or testing.

Office suggestions use the listed locations near the starting city. Your appointment confirmation determines the actual test address. Get Your CDL Quick! provides its in-person vehicle services in Royse City.

Get an itemized quote for your trip

A box-truck job and a passenger route may use vehicles of similar size but ask for different endorsements. Get the designed seating capacity of the bus or the weight ratings of the truck and any trailer. Ask which rental charges apply to your test site, what fuel costs extra and whether your selection qualifies for separate complimentary behind-the-wheel ELDT.
